Welcome to Circular Design Day!

Date: Thursday 11th May at 8:30-16, followed by an After Work at 16-17
Place: Gamla Brandkårshusets Festsal, Christinegatan 2, Jakobstad. Lunch at Restaurang Station 23, Christinegatan 2.

The Circular Design Day will feature exciting presentations and discussions on different aspects of circular design and circular economy. Our key note speaker is one of Europe's leading experts within circular economy, Vojtech Vosecky, learning us about why circular transition is necessary for today's companies. 

Representatives from companies as Mirka, Ikea, The Loop Factory and Walki tells us their experiences and insights on how they apply circularity and sustainability in practice, the opportunities and challenges they face in this regard.

Circular design is about creating more sustainable and profitable products and services by reducing negative impacts on the environment. This is done by designing products and systems that can be reused, repaired and recycled efficiently, while minimizing resource consumption and waste at the same time.  For the region's companies, this can be a way to meet future sustainability requirements and reduce their vulnerability to regulatory changes and remain competitive on the market.

The day ends with After Work at Station 23 at 4 pm. This is an opportunity to network and exchange ideas and reach out to other. We hope this day leads to new collaborations, innovations and circular business opportunities!

The presentations will be held in english.

The event is free of charge. The lunch price is 15,- and is paid to the restaurant.(A no show fee of 15,- euro will be invoiced if you make a lunch cancellation later than mon 8th May.)
